Good news for Apple Mac users! The Estate Master product suite runs successfully on Macs, thanks to ‘virtual PC' technology offered by products such as VMware and Parallels. Since Mac computers do not have a Microsoft Windows environment as their core operating system, you will need to create a ‘virtual PC' on your Mac which will allow you to move between Mac and Windows based software seamlessly.
To run Estate Master on a Mac, we recommend using one of the following virtual PC software products:
Once the virtual PC has been created by one of the above products, the user will then need to install MicrosoftWindows on the virtual PC (Windows XP, Vista or 7 Home edition is a minimum requirement).
Please Note: All Estate Master products, except Hotel Feasibility (HF), do not require Microsoft Excel on the Virtual PC to run.
“We have decided to use Estate Master for our feasibility software. We believe it to be the most commonly accepted feasibility program that is well designed and easy to use. To allow us to use Estate Master we have installed a virtual machine program that accepts windows based programs to run on our Mac computers, called VM Fusion. This program is also very easy to use and runs smoothly even for consistent daily use. The Estate Master program works well with this virtual machine program and therefore we get the best of both worlds by allowing us to remain with Mac computers.”
